CONVERT YOUR KWIKOT ELECTRIC GEYSER TO SMART SOLAR
The Elon Smart Solar PV Water Heating System is designed for compatible Kwikot electric geysers. It replaces the existing thermostat and converts the geyser into a smart, solar-ready water-heating system.
Dedicated solar panels supply DC power directly to the geyser, without requiring a solar inverter or battery. During the day, available solar energy is used to heat the water. Grid electricity remains available when there is insufficient sunlight, helping to ensure a reliable hot-water supply.
SMARTPHONE MONITORING AND CONTROL
The Elon Smart Water app allows the user to:
• View the current water temperature
• Adjust the geyser temperature setting
• Control heating schedules and settings
• Monitor solar and grid electricity usage
• Receive maintenance, safety and fault notifications
• Manage the geyser remotely using a compatible smartphone
A suitable Wi-Fi connection is required for remote monitoring and smartphone control.

SOLAR-PANEL CONFIGURATION
• Configuration: 3 panels connected in series – 3S1P
• Total solar-array capacity: 1,380 Wp
• Array operating voltage: approximately 135.21 V DC
• Array open-circuit voltage: approximately 159.90 V DC
• Operating current: approximately 10.21 A
• Short-circuit current: approximately 10.90 A
ELON SMART SOLAR INPUT LIMITS
• Permitted solar-voltage range: 30–230 V DC
• Maximum open-circuit voltage: below 230 V DC
• Maximum short-circuit current: below 15 A DC
• Maximum solar-array capacity: 3 kWp
The three-panel configuration remains safely within the Elon Smart’s voltage, current and power limits, including an appropriate allowance for increased panel voltage during cold weather.
A fourth 460 W panel is not recommended for this package. Its combined open-circuit voltage could approach or exceed the Elon Smart’s 230 V limit during cold weather. This package must therefore remain a correctly matched three-panel series system.
IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY INFORMATION
The Elon Smart is designed specifically for compatible Kwikot electric geysers. The geyser model, thermostat type, element rating, roof condition, Wi-Fi availability, installation location and available mounting area must be confirmed before installation.
Installation must be completed by a suitably qualified installer using correctly rated DC protection, isolation equipment and cabling.
